On July 25, 2023, the 2000 TPA modular green ammonia plant in Middle East undertaken by KAPSOM was successfully delivered. The delivered equipment includes ammonia synthesizer, soft water preheater, water cooler, cold exchanger, ammonia cooler, high pressure ammonia divider, low pressure ammonia divider and etc.
The owner of this project is a new energy company in Saudi Arabia. Its upstream uses photovoltaic and hydroelectric power stations to generate electricity, and produces 2,000 tons of green ammonia every year from green hydrogen. In this project, the ammonia synthesis unit is loaded in a 40-foot standard container for the first time, and equipment, pipelines, valves, pumps, containers, instruments, etc. are combined and installed in the skid. This facilitates transportation, simplifies on-site construction, and shortens the installation and commissioning cycle. This is also the second-generation green ammonia plant developed and optimized by us after the first green ammonia plant supplied in India, which will be officially put into operation in the second half of 2023.
The green ammonia project with an annual output of 2,000 tons signed with a Saudi customer is KAPSOM’s first green ammonia project exported to Central Asia. The Middle East has abundant sunshine, strong winds, and is close to major markets in Asia and Europe. It is very suitable for the production of green hydrogen and green ammonia with new energy. Saudi Arabia will be an important fulcrum for our company to develop the green ammonia plant market in Central Asia. After the project is launched, it is expected to become the first green ammonia project in the Middle East, which is of great significance to the entire Middle East.
When the acceptance work is successfully completed, we immediately send the equipment to the project site to help the device be put into operation as scheduled. With the concerted efforts of everyone , the work of loading and dispatching is carried out in an orderly manner. In order to ensure the stability and safety during the transportation process, every detail of the delivery site reflects the professional attitude and responsibility of KAPSOM.
